SSF Liveaboards and Corona

event_available August 19, 2021

When you arrive in Egypt, it depends on whether you have been vaccinated or not.

Vaccinated: You need a certification with QR-code that you have been fully (2 Jabs) vaccinated against Corona for more than 14 days.

Not vaccinated: You will need a PCR test, which must be taken no more than 72 hours prior to your departure. The date and the hour the sample was taken must be indicated in the certificate and the type of sample taken must also be present. It must be stamped by an accredited laboratory.

For us as a safari company, the PCR-test or proof of vaccination that is carried with you upon entry is sufficient for us.

What we do for everyone's health on board:

The crew is cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing periodically around the clock. They are trained and educated on symptoms and necessary preventive measures related to COVID-19.

Temperature of staff members is checked daily. Wearing face masks and gloves is a must for all employees who are working in the cleaning and hygiene department, kitchen & maintenance.

Daily room cleaning service will be upon request, please inform your guide if you want your cabin to be cleaned.

Washing hands regularly for minimum 30 seconds.

Hand sanitation stations around the vessel.

Daily temperature check to be done twice a day.

Guests are spread at different areas of the boat. Physical distancing is maintained while going in and out of the water.

Masks are to be rinsed before dives with water hose located on the lower dive platform but not in any of the buckets.

Rental gear will be washed and disinfected with 70% alcohol.

All equipment (regulator, mask and snorkel, BCD and diving suit) are disinfected by soaking them in water containing 10% chlorine.

Used equipment that have not been cleaned are kept separate from the clean ones, we also recommend that clients will avoid sharing equipment among each other.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

We look forward to spend a nice and safe safari week with you.
